Ton Yi has lots of high technology and experience in manufacturing empty tin-cans for foods and beverages, in coating and printing, and in producing tinplates and tin mill black plates.
Ton Yi has a sophisticated laboratory for the test and inspection of quality and providing improved manufacturing methods. Because of its good management system, Ton Yi was awarded a JIS G3303 certificate in 1992, a symbol of the best quality, by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, and became the world's first company with such a great honor for tinplate products outside Japan. (The company then reacquired a new JIS certificate by Japan Quality Assurance Organization in 2008.) In addition to, Ton Yi was awarded a certificate for Testing of Material Laboratory and Tinplate Test Laboratory system based on ISO/IEC 17025 TAF.
